Austria. He has worked in spa development, operations and management for over 15-years during which
time he has built a chain of day spas and premium health clubs, worked extensively throughout Asia and
headed spa recruitment and spa operations for Steiner Leisure.
Roger Allen has been involved in all types of spas and worked with both
venture capital and angel investors for various spa projects.
He is now providing experienced client dedicated financial spa planning and conceptual development
to some of the most exciting spa projects in the world, especially in the UAE region.
Anna Bjurstam

Anna Bjurstam has always been dedicated to wellness, and has worked in the business for 19 years. Together with her hands on expertise
in wellness and a Master Degree in Business, Anna has successfully led Raison d’Etre Spas to become one of the leaders
in the spa business.
Anna commenced her wellness journey as a Nike Elite Aerobic and Fitness Instructor travelling the world, presenting sought
after lectures and workshops. She ventured into the corporate fitness world together with 24 Hours Fitness after finalizing
her studies. Anna then evolved in the world of healing, mediation, alternative therapies and yoga and was asked to join Raison
d’Etre, which opened its first spa at Soneva Fushi, Maldives 1999.
As MD and now Concept Director of Raison d’Etre, Anna has become the guiding light for an ever-growing company of globally-placed
professionals in world renowned spas such as Amanpuri, Taj Exotica Mauritius with the Jiva Spa concept created by Raison d’Etre,
Four Seasons Qatar, Capella Castlemartyr and many more. From initial contractual negotiations, creating tailor made business solution
packages, to inspiring & teaching line staff importance of magical delivery of treatments, her grasp of every aspect of spas has earned
her a deserved reputation as a Master of Spa.

Qualified Osteopath and passionate about alternative medicines, he has never stopped
looking for the sources of well-being through detoxification and a better physical equilibrium.
His previous experience in development and concept creation as an interior architect
naturally lead him to the creation of VITAL®, a real precursor in active and efficient Urban Detoxification.
VITAL® developed a sound know-how in detoxification and has become a leader in design, equipment and management
of state-of-the-art detoxification facilities. Today, VITAL® can put it's experience in designing and personalizing
detoxification facilities to the service of hotels and hotels spas.
Robert Henry

Bob Henry is the founder and principal of Robert D. Henry Architects, an award winning,
internationally recognized Architecture and Interior Design firm located in New York, NY.
Bob has produced such notable works as the Wynn Resort Spa in Las Vegas, NV; and the Spa
at the Mar-A-Lago Club in Palm Beach, FL for Mr. Donald Trump. Some of his more recent
projects include a LEED certified spa within the Vdara tower at the MGM City Center, the
interiors for the mixed-used Canyon Ranch Living located in Chicago, Illinois, and the public
spaces and spa for the Setai New York.
He regularly lectures at the International Spa Association’s (ISPA) Annual Conference in the U.S. and Asia;
discussing his design philosophy and spa projects.
Hospitality Design Magazine inducted him into their Platinum Circle in honor of his lifetime achievements in
the field and also honored with the Gold Key Award for the Ajune Medical Spa in New York. He is co-author of
the book SPA: The Sensuous Experience published by Images Publishing.
Bob Henry’s unique design philosophy is devoted to the empirical experience; where visitors engage all their
senses in his projects.
Suki Kalirai
(C.E.O.) - Carlton Institute United Kingdom (Chairman of Spa Business Association UK)
Suki has 25 years experience operating at the highest level in business. After graduating in chemistry from Imperial College he worked
in marketing, operations and general management for Unilever, Coca-Cola International (Director European Operational Planning, Director
European Marketing) and Forte & Le Meridien Hotels (main board director globally).
In Feb 2000 Suki founded and set up SSI the parent company behind re-aqua and Dove Spa. By the end of 2007 when he moved his
attention to the Carlton Institute, SSI had grown to 30 sites in UK, 14 in Spain and 2 in Mexico.
Suki has always had a passion for training and his acquisition of Carlton Institute was no surprise to anyone that has heard him talk
about the most important elements of any spa or salon’s success - the skills of the people running it day to day.
Suki is Chairman of the Spa Business Association and a Deputy Chairman of Habia (the UK government standard setting body
for spa, hair & beauty).
Olivier Petit

With a Master in Management, Olivier Petit worked in Deloitte France since 2007. Partner of Deloitte, he is
specialized in Hotels, Tourism and Leisure.
Thanks to the position of Deloitte through the world (presence in 140 countries), Olivier has realized many market and
feasibility studies and property valuations in France and abroad. It’s permitted him to develop experience in large complex
tourism projects and multi-purpose resorts with important real estate components (leisure, entertainment, residential and commercial).
He has also specific interest in golf and spa related developments.
Thanks to his knowledge in hotels development, Olivier has worked with some touristic operators to fulfill their projects
like Baltic Sea Parc in Latvia, Hyatt Hotel in Lisbon, some Hotels 3 stars in Morocco…
Olivier is in charge of bid tenders for feasibility studies of public markets.
He is also the author of some articles in “La Revue Espaces”, “Grand Angle” (Odit France Magazine) about Spa, luxury hotels
in Paris, charming hotels in France…
He has participated to different conferences through the world like European Spa Exhibition, Spa & Instituts / Cosmeeting,
International Investment Forum in Sochi, Arabian Hotel Investment Conference in Dubaï.
